Inhaler, the four-man rock band fronted by Bono's son Eli Hewson, is getting a record deal of their own in advance of their first headlining tour.

Inhaler is set to sign with Polydor Records. The Dublin rock band features 19-year-old Elijah Hewson (who sometimes goes by Eli for short) on vocals and rhythm, Robert Keating on bass, Ryan McMahon on drums, and Josh Jenkinson on lead guitar.

The four-piece band met while they were in school at St. Andrews College in Blackrock, Dublin, and gained popularity in the local Dublin music scene before releasing their first studio single, It Won't Always Be Like This, back in March.

Hewson's voice and stage presence are drawing widespread comparisons to those of his rocker dad, Bono of U2.

Inhaler will be embarking on their first headlining tour through Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Belgium in September and their first North American tour as the opening act for Blossoms in November.

“Polydor want to sign Inhaler before their tour starts because they think their price will go through the roof if they get any more popular, and they’ll have to fight it out with other rival labels to get them," an industry source told the Irish Sun

Polydor is part of Universal Music Group, which also owns Island Records, to which U2 has long been signed.

But Inhaler has denied any favoritism or coddling because of who Hewson's dad is.

Speaking about the band and the support Bono gives to the up-and-coming group, Eli told Extra.ie in November last year: "My dad's good when I want to see if a song is s***e or not – he will tell me straight away."
