The parents of four young children have been reunited with the kids they abandoned while they went on vacation.
Alert neighbors alerted authorities after the children were left home alone in their Dungannon, County Tyrone home for several days.
The youngest of the children is just 5 years old, the other three are aged 14, 10 and 7.
After visiting the property police officers contacted social services, who are currently investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) called the case as 'shocking and serious,' however the parents have not been arrested. The PSNI spokesperson told the Belfast Telegraph: 'No arrests have been made but a police investigation is under way.'
