Supermac’s will be doing a takeover of Times Square and putting images of Galway supporters on the world-famous screens throughout the weekend of the New York v Galway football match.
Thousands of supporters are expected to make their way to New York City for the first round of the Connacht Football Championship match between New York GAA and Galway on April 6.
To celebrate this transatlantic clash, Supermac’s is creating a massive Galway supporter display in the heart of Big Apple and all Galway supporters, including those who stay at home, will have a chance to have their photos displayed on the world-famous Times Square billboards.
Galway supporters can upload a photograph of themselves wearing their Supermac’s Galway Jersey onto the Supermac’s website and it will appear on a display in the centre of Times Square throughout the match weekend of April 5-6, 2025.
All details on how to enter are on Supermac’s social media platforms and here on the Supermac's website.

About Supermac's and Galway GAA
This year represents 35 years of Supermac's sponsoring Galway GAA. In 1990, Pat McDonagh, together with his wife Úna, began sponsoring Galway GAA, marking the start of one of the longest relationships in modern sponsorship.
Indeed, Pat and Una began sponsoring Galway hurling when the late Phelim Murphy asked Pat for assistance even though, at that time, the logo couldn't appear on the jersey as the GAA only allowed that from 1991 on.
Some of the milestones along the way were when Supermac's began sponsoring Galway football as well in 2013. While there were many underage successes throughout those years, the holy grail of an All-Ireland senior title was achieved when Micheál Donoghue led the senior hurlers to Galway hurlers 1st All Ireland since 1989.
Supermac's also sponsor Galway LGFA since 2013. Supermac's sponsors hundreds of clubs, teams, and schools throughout Ireland.
