Jeffrey Bangu, 21, appeared in Dublin District Court this morning Tuesday, February 18, to face charges in relation to the fatal assault on Quham Babatunde, 34, in Dublin City on Saturday morning, February 15.
An Garda Síochána confirmed this morning that a man in his 20s who was arrested as part of this investigation had been charged.
Bangu, of Cardy Rock Crescent, Balbriggan, Co Dublin, appeared before Judge Paula Murphy during a sitting of Dublin District Court this morning.
According to the Irish Times, Bangu has been charged with assault causing harm to Babatunde at Duke Lane.
He has also been charged with assault causing harm to another man, Adetola Adetuilehim, at Anne Street South. Adetuilehim was hospitalized following Saturday's incident.
Bangu is additionally charged with engaging in violent disorder with persons unknown, and production of a knife during the course of a fight at Anne Street South.

In court on Tuesday, Garda David Dolan said that Bangu was charged just after 2 am at Pearse Street Station and that he made no reply to the charges.
The Irish Times notes that Garda Dolan said there would be strenuous objections to bail applications, but defence counsel Kyle Talbot informed the judge that there was no bail application.
Bangu, who has been granted legal aid, was remanded into custody and ordered to appear via video link at Cloverhill District Court on February 25.
Bangu's court appearance comes the morning after An Garda Síochána announced they had made a third arrest as part of their investigation into the fatal assault that occurred on Saturday morning at South Anne Street / Duke Lane Upper in Dublin 2.
On Saturday, An Garda Síochána said that shortly after 3 am that morning, Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident where a man, since named locally as Quaham Babatunde, was found with serious injuries and unresponsive.
He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and transferred to hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
A second male, also in his 30s, was injured in the vicinity. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A murder investigation was launched and a Senior Investigating Officer was appointed.
In an update on Monday evening, Gardaí said that they arrested a man, aged in his 20s, as part of the investigation into the fatal assault following searches in Dublin that morning.
A second man was arrested in Belfast by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) on Monday and was detained at a police station in Northern Ireland.
An Garda Síochána said on Tuesday that two people remain in Garda and Police custody at this time.
