@Ireland Curator: Catherine McGuinness

 

Catherine McGuinness loves writing about herself in the third person almost as much as she loves animals and nature. Her career as a communicator began in third class when she was put outside the door for showing a picture of a tarantula to her arachnophobic teacher. Her influences include David Attenborough, Dava Sobel and the late great Éamon de Buitléar. She has worked for several institutions, including Dublin Zoo as well as the Dead Zoo. Her favourite colour is blue and her favourite film is The Sound of Music. She has been on the tour in Salzburg and met several lovely retired people who share her passion for edelweiss and singing.
