A YouTube video posted by Martin McKenna shows a beautiful rainbow above Maghera in Northern Ireland. The haunting footage was shot at sunset on June 29th, 2016 by a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced drone.

The drone slowly ascends above a neighborhood of houses until high above a patchwork of vibrant green fields, the camera pans across the sky capturing the entire breadth of the rainbow.

Martin McKenna is the owner of the website www.nightskyhunter.com, which features photography and videos of comets, storms, night landscapes, and more. According to the website, he was awarded 'Irish Astronomer Of The Year 2005' by the Irish Federation Of Astronomical Societies.

He writes in the description of the video: “Launched from back garden through rain and filmed rainbow at 105m high, rain eased and stopped. Beautiful primary and secondary bow with supernumerary arcs, anticrepuscular rays and shadows.”
