Dublin rocks according to the latest walking audio tour of Ireland’s capital.
The Dublin on the Rocks audio tour takes you step by step through 16 different locations which span from the city walls at St. Audoen’s Church St down to the St. Stephens green.
Starting in Dublin’s mediaeval quarter the tour includes such interesting sights such as fossils from the Jurassic age; volcanic ash once pressed into stone; and 600 panes of glass embedded into Trinity College Dublin.
Minister of State for Natural Resources Conor Lenihan, launched the new podcast and praised it as a “great way to introduce scientific ideas to young people”.
Purchased online the tour can be downloaded straight onto your mobile phone or a MP3 device. The tour in entirety takes about 90 minutes depending on how long to you take to study the ancient fossil.
